This book has a decidedly different feel than the first three books. The story takes a darker tone, and there is a lot more psychological drama.
While there isn’t a lot more character development, (most of that is done in the first three books), there is quite a bit of additional, fantastic world-building. Lyons delivers a plethora of twists and turns, from beginning to end.
There is more than one laugh and many more tears. This book is imaginative and compelling… a true page-turner. 4 1/2 stars
