This is an incredible book. It thoroughly enjoyable to read, and there are plenty of different characters to love, or hate. There is an impressive amount of talent in the fourteen authors who wrote these stories. Each gives new life to old (and sometimes even older) fairy tales. The voices of their characters are distinct, yet each story feels like it belongs with the whole. Some authors write way outside the box, while some give the classics a face lift and a modern twist. Most of the stories fall somewhere between.
These twisted fairy tales are absolutely amazing. They are creative, imaginative and engaging. Some stories resonate better than others, but the book is a good read in its entirety.
