I was pleased with the developments in Thorns of Decision, especially since I was dissatisfied in Roots of Insight. While Thorns did not feature a lot of action/adventure, it was full of exciting revelations.
“Quinn and William …find themselves deciding between who they always thought they were, and who they’re meant to be.”
“And they just might be making some of those decisions together.”
It was also pretty evident that incidents at the end of Thorns were setting up some serious action/adventure for Blooms of Consequence (Dusk Gate Chronicles #4). The build up in Thorns of Decision made me eager to read Blooms of Consequence. I thought that Thorns was a nice comeback for Puttroff after my disappointment in Roots of Insight.
