This is a perfect book to read when in the mood for a sweet, sentimental story. The story is set in a small town where everyone knows everyone else. The basic backstories of the main characters, (Lisa, Eric and Judy), are revealed fairly quickly. As the story progresses, more depth flows into these characters.
Knight delivers an endearing read. The plot is somewhat predictable, but that simply creates a comforting and nostalgic feeling when the reading is done. The book is enjoyable and creates a desire to continue the journey through the Sweetwater series.
